But, He Said, He Loves Me!
Young lady in her early 20’s was found weeping and saying repeatedly, “… but, He said, He loves me.” Looking at her, you will see a heart broken, cheated and dumped girl. With her protruded stomach, unkempt hair and body thin and wearied as a result of broken spirit. “A merry heart doesth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones”. (Proverb 17:22). Out of frustration, she was nearly knocked down by a passerby vehicle. Nothing in the world interests her again. What happened? The love of her life has disappeared into the thin air with every fortune she had. This guy she has housed, feed with her own food, clothed, and even opened business for but he still vanished leaving her pregnant and broken. This is a bartered and shattered state, with all hope on men and for living lost. In this state a man caught her, she struggled to left alone in her misery as she continuously chants, “… but, He said, He loves me.” This man succeeded in taking her home, gave her food, accommodation, care and love she never imagined that am could give on earth. Whatever you can imagine to be a good life this man gave this lady. Days turn to months, she put to birth a bouncing baby girl. As time goes on, she keep thinking, this man just like other men will at least request for some payment or compensation for all his kindness and good deed. She started feeling guilty. I have been with this man for two year plus now, living like a queen without contributing anything I must be selfish. She walked up to the man said exact words to him and offered her body as a price for all his kindness. Out of confusion and shame, she started crying as the man was watching her undress without saying a word or making a move. Finally, he helped her gather herself, put on her clothes and spoke these exact words to her, “you are beautiful, you deserve to be died for, you deserved good food, best shelter and all you can imagine as good for you. And you must not pay for it not even with your body.” Why? She asked. All these things are yours (1 Corinthian 3:21) was the responds. Everything is available, and to you by your father, and it is his will to give more and you are His favorite. What do you mean? She asked again. Yes! These are your father’s he continued. And is His will, that EVERYONE which seeth the SON, and believe on HIM may have everlasting life (John 6:40), all you are enjoying now is part of that life. It is also your father’s will that you be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). What is the truth? She asked. The truth is this, “there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time.” (1 Timothy 2:5-6). Jesus has paid for all your need to enjoy life in abundance and now is the due time for you to know him and all He has provided for you by his death on the cross. He is the only lover that comes to you and will not be burdensome to you: for he seek not yours, but you, and as a father, he kept inheritance for you. “For the children ought not to lay up for the parents but the parents for the children.” (2 Corinthian 12:14). Jesus is saying, beloved; “I will very gladly spend and be spent for you, though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved”. (2 Corinthian 12:15). Since, you can love a man who spends on you, and expects a pay back with all your heart and resources. I think Jesus deserves to be loved more. Today, Jesus is calling for your love and you. Will you accept Him? If yes, say this prayer a loudly: Lord Jesus, Lover of my soul, I thank you for loving me and spending on me (John 3:16). Today, I accept your love and I choose to love you same. Now, Jesus, by your blood, wash me of all my sins, transgressions and iniquity. I ask you to be my savior and my Lord. Thank you Jesus for I am born again. I ask that you give me the Holy spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of my inheritance (Ephesians 1:13-14), with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Act 2:1-4). Amen! I pray for you now receive you the Holy Ghost and I command your mouth to open, begin to speak in tongues in the name of Jesus. Amen! You will never go back to sin.
